Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The house is beautiful with lovely amenities. It is well positioned near the beach. Mambrui sand dunes are not that far away. The staff were very friendly. It has a private pool so you can swim whenever you wish.
Negative: We checked to head to tsavo east with a tour jeep, so we left car at the residence with the owners knowledge. When we came back the next day to pick our car and head home, the tour jeep was allowed to leave and we were not. The watchmen very quickly closed the gate on us and added a padlock. I asked them what was the issue and they said. We cannot speak to you only the manager. They completely refused to tell is what the issue was. I was finally able to talk to the owner to ask what the issue was he says that he just wanted to confirm that it was us who were picking up our car. Considering we were only sisters (2 of us) being locked into a somehow secluded area and the watchmen are rude to you. That was not an ok experience, for us to leave there i had to start screaming like a mad woman because we did not feel safe in that moment. I think there is a better way to confirm it is us leaving with our car such as through our IDs and anyway, during our stay we used to leave every single day and there weren't many cars there, it would not be a difficult task to confirm it was us leaving with our car. They should not have locked us inside and not talked to us with an explanation of the issue.
